In the spring after all frost is gone. Mid to late May . I get a head start by starting the tubers in pots in early to mid April. They take a few weeks to start growing so you have a good start before moving them into the garden.

I winter them in the basement in a box of vermiculite. But did not know when to put in the grown. Never seem to do much if I wait till May. I may try putting then in the ground but keep them covered with a large plant pot or something.
