Call the shop or manufacturer and ask them.........
Start with Lestoil and hot water. First wipe with paper towel as much grease from the carpet. Next, lightly brush grease spot with a stiff brush of Lestoil and water. Wipe with paper towel, and keep doing this until the stain starts to fade. Repeat this several times and that should lighten it up. Let it dry, and repeat this method again. I had oil grease on my rug, from the garage,. Follow the directions on the bottle, and this should help.
That's a tough one! I did get a rust stain (chair put down on wet carpet over 10 years ago) out with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and a lot of elbow grease (pun not intended?!).
Dawn seems to be the trick for just about everything...can't hurt!
Blue dawn
I had oil from our carport walked in to our new carpet, beige colored so it showed, in an obvious main walking path. I took Dawn dish soap and scrubbed the visual oil out of the carpet with a toothbrush, being careful to keep the residue area as small as possible. I scrubbed and used old towels to blot up all the oil/soap as I scrubbed. I repeated this till no visual discoloration existed. I let the carpet dry and mixed a spoon of baking soda into two spoons of powdered corn starch. When the carpet felt dry I sprinkled the cornstarch/baking soda on the area and took a dry scrub brush and brushed it deep into the nap of the carpet to absorb any of the residual oil that might wick back up, left it over night, and vacuumed the area. I repeated the application of dry corn starch with baking soda three times. It did not bleed back and you could not see it.
I spilled an "orange oil furniture polish" on my tan carpet that left a large oily spot that the shampooer would not take out. I put some Dawn dish soap on the area and let it sit over nite... then I used my Shark steam cleaner (the hand held one) on the spot to loosen up the stuff then used my shampooer with really hot water. and kept after it until the spot was gone
Windex or Pinol. They clean literally everything!
Try lemon washing up liquid a good one. Just try it on a small spot first where no one can see (spot test). Michelle. P.S. good luck
