Thats an interesting concept! I can imagine it would be quite time consuming so no chance of all your neighbors having the same paint job!
I know there is a print making process using dish soap, paint and water mixed together. You use a straw to blow air into the mixture until it bubbles up higher than the rim of the container. Then a sheet of paper is laid on top and the bubbles leave a print on the paper.
Maybe you could do it onto wax paper and transfer it? Then a clear coat to protect it?
I am totally scheming on a way to achieve this effect on a wall in my bathroom now!
: )
I’m just going to do one wall. I think it would be too much in a small space to do more than that! I like your bubble wand idea! I’ll post pics if I get anything to work!
😊
I was just reading about bubble painting this afternoon. The recipe is right as so is the method of blowing the bubbles up and over the container. That person made a point to say that it will only work on "rough" surfaces. She was bubble painting terra cotta pots. She also did a coffee mug. Good luck with this. Pls post some pics if you can. Sounds so cool.
Sounds like a whole lotta .... huff and puff, I'm gonna blow your house down. Said the big bad wolf. LOL couldn't resist.
Just remember on your walls, anything that goes on - will have to come off one day. This sounds like a lot of sanding one day, to you or the next owner!
IF that be the case, Sharon - so when you should be having a 'not so good of a day' and you need to release some energy, I think this would be the trick to try!
I may try a small corner in one of my rooms - won't be right a way -
