We tried to do it on a budget so we did a granite tile counter top and a mosaic back splash.

We ended up using plug molds so you won't see outlets on the back splash making for smooth transition.
We painted the cabinets and had custom doors and drawer fronts made. For a final touch my wife did a glaze treatment on the cabinets.
