Here are a couple ideas I found. I really like the second one. I did something similar to the first pic for towel storage, but we used pipes. For my bathroom I used a cabinet similar to the third pic, except it has two towel bars on the bottom, rather than a shelf
This spot is too small for much, but the shelf looks very light and airy. I would raise it up and mount it to the wall so you can access the toilet lid more easily. It would also look more balanced that way on such a high/narrow wall. If you want to hide the toilet paper, get a round vase or cardboard box (like an oatmeal box) and paint or cover it to coordinate with your other décor. This would also work for the air freshener, and even the toilet brush. Or maybe you could "hide" the toilet paper by wrapping it in patterned gift wrapping tissue? That would add a nice pop of color to the neutral background of everything else.
I think I spotted a mirror in one photo. I could add a small mirror on one side, I think, but the toilet faces the glass shower. And should I go with white or brown baskets or shelves? 😇💞
They have toilet tissue stands. They hold 5 rolls of toilet paper.
4 rolls storage and 1 roll ready to use. Ross, etc. etc. Hope this helps.😇
Glad I could give you a few ideas. I will admit they all came from other HomeTalk posts that I have seen. I just love this site!!!
I put cabinets with doors over all my toilets . The doors are really necessary because of the spray that comes from a toilet. Sad but true. When I moved in the overhead light obviously had not been cleaned in several years and had a layer of dried spray all over it
I would get one of the toilet paper holders that sits n the floor and holds 3-4 rolls of paper. Think about a small cabinet with doors, and maybe an open shelf. On the open shelf you can place some pretty things to match the décor. Need a little color, either paint the space, or some colorful prints on the wall.
I would put in a recessed shelving on the other side of the toilet from the roll. I do like the baskets over the toilet for towels.
To make the space look wider I would run the shelves from wall to wall. Brighten up your colors and use colors that make you happy. The ‘over-the-john’ cabinets That free stand from the floor dominate the area and are overbearing. It’s fun to doll up ‘just wood’ shelves with some wood trim that’s cute or molding. Post what you do! I like floral swags too. Eucalyptus makes for good smalls....natural room freshness
SMELLS^
Shelf is always nice. Room for lots of stuff. You can connect it to the walls on either side. Good luck.

I used wood crates in my main bathroom. I use it for TP and towels. It is useful and it looks nice!
Crates look very nice and hold quite a lot of 'stuff.'
wall to wall shelves will give you plenty of storage space. Conceal toilet paper and small items in baskets or other pretty containers. Paint the walls the color of your choice and you can even use a wallpaper on the back wall to spruce it up.Have fun!
