Our clients are renovating their home and their current dining room furniture is needing a makeover!
Here's the before photo of the solid oak dining chairs. They once belonged to their grandmother!
Here's the inspiration for their dining room furniture.
Delivery! Here's the new upholstery they picked out... we ordered extra for another job we have coming up next week.
Time for new upholstery... We removed the old fabric and the foam was still in really good condition! All done! Can you believe the transformation?!
To attach the new upholstery we used an air stapler.
I always suggest apply two coats of Fabric Guard to the upholstery. This will help prevent soiling and sun fading!
Here's the chairs we refinished using Superior Paint Co. Little White and sealed in satin.
All Done! We let it cure up for a few days - Now ready to head back home!
Stay tuned to see the matching dining table we're working on right now for them - it's just about finished!

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
Did you have to sand or strip the chairs before painting them?
What's an air stapler?
What type of wood were the chairs made of? While they do look nice and crisp, painting family treasures (which are usually better made than over priced stuff you find in stores now) can actually damage the pieces.
