Contact a local floor covering/installer-refinisher for options & estimates. Hardwood can be sanded & refinished , some may be beyond Get a pro to recommend.
Sand and refinish.
Call in the pros, get at least 3 estimates. Refinishing old wood floors is an art, some can be refinished some can't. If they can, theywll turn out beautifully, nothing like old wood floors. Keeping my fingers crossed for you! It is a messy process, so be prepared!
I have no idea what the whole question was..but if it were me I would be asking if I could paint the floors.
Yes.
I painted the floor in my work shop..I used a good primer and three coats of porch paint and three coats of polyurethane. Its been 10 years and except for being paint splattered..I paint furniture, the paint has really held up. I scoot furniture all over the place and the floor has stood up beautifully.
If I could figure out how to keep five dogs, a cat and 4 humans from walking on them I would absolutly paint my old laminate floors. Would be cheaper and prettier then replacing.
Check Pinterest for painted floors..gorgeous.
I would try Quick Shine multi surface floor finish, it is by Holloway House. It works on other surfaces too. Made my wood floors look new. Can be used on other surfaces also. Can buy @ Walmart, Kroger's and many other places!
