We have a large holly tree in our back yard very near our deck. Every spring this tree attracts wood boring bees.

There is very little info out there on your question. See if this video helps, although I don't think it's exactly what you need. Ask the people at the nursery if they think it will recover. Also, look for a Master Gardener and have them look at your trees. I hope they make it.
