This Metal Wall art was once green and no longer went with our decor...My motto don't throw it away....paint it! To get the color of Ivory Mother of pearl to see how this was done you can go here http://www.onemoretimeevents.com/2014/03/master-bedroom-metal-wall-art-and.html

I did this to a tree I had bought from Hobby Lobby several years ago. It was black with all coppery leaves. I used metalic paints made some leaves more orangey copper and some kinda turquoise green. I Still love it! I might paint it All white with brown wax on details.
Oh and I bent the leaves with my fingers, carefully, so they looked a little more 'natural, they were all flat and kinda pointing down, lifeless looking, I thought.

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
I have a few fairly large pieces of metal wall art outside my home. They look like they have been clear coated at some point, and are beginning to peel. How can I remove the remaining clear without damaging the paint, and then what would you recommend to seal them with to give them a nice glossy finish?
