tires>>>Use them for planting asa focal point in your garden
PLaces that sell tires (tyres) also can recycle them or dispose of them for you.
My neighborhood florist painted an old tire a bright turquoise and planted flowers in it as an eyecatcher for the front of her store.
I like the idea of using a tire as a planter. Depending on what type of mail box you have, you could put a tire up and over the mail box all the way down to the ground. Paint it a fun color and plant flowers in it. You could even plant a climbing type flowers and let it grow up the mail box.
oooo! You can make a swing! Cut off 2 thirds of the tread, to within about three inches of the circle where the rim goes, in other words, leave the inner circle intact, three inches wide. Turn tire inside out, paint and hang on tree or wherever you want the swing to be. You can add a cushion to the seat and make it fancy.
Get rid of them, they are toxic and carcinogenic.
Our local government discourages using them for swings, etc., because they collect water and become mosquito breeding grounds. In this day of West Nile Virus, they want tires (and anything else that collects water, like old flower pot saucers) gone.
get rid of them.....your neighbors will thank you.
