In my experience, it's best to hold it stable while it dries. That usually means a clamp, but if you can't clamp it - like a figurine, I'd use masking tape over the top and around the side to keep it in place until it dries. If you can, remove the two pieces and see if you can peel off any left over glue, then try again using the tape method. I hope that helps.
yeanyou definitely need to tape or clamp anyt over the size of a rhinestone or maybe even put a small dab of hot glue
E6000 is a VERY strong glue but you have to “help it“ as it dries by either holding the broken pieces together until it dries OR as others say, use clamps.
I love E6000 but it's not the best choice for ceramic repairs. I use liquid super glue for non-porous ceramics and super glue gel for porous ceramics.
It needs to be held until it fully sets in my experience, a bit annoying- but worth it. Good luck :)
