Throw pillows

Question

I'm looking for pillow cases for throw pillows. I don't want to spend tons of money, as I change out my pillows on my sofa's seasonally, and I like the pillows themselves, just want to change the case for a new look. Most of them are 14'x14' and if they have a zipper that would be perfect! Does anyone know of a place that sells them? I don't sew, so that's pretty much out of the question. Thanks so much for any help you can give me!!!

I make mine. I am supper cheap. I use the old pillows and make new covers for them. I did spend my hard earned money at pottery barn last year on pillows. The feathers poked through the pillows and we hated them. Sorry Pottery ai love you but hated the pokey pillow. I am not a great seamstress but pillows aren't hard. I also make shades and curtains they might now be prefect but I am the only one who knows. I change out my pillows all the time, I change out everything. This is cheaper than buying new ones. As great as a painter as you are all you can also make a pillow!

I am like you unless I get it in sale or have a coupon I don't buy it.  I went to Bath and Body Works today my coupon was expired.  I sat outside looking for a 20% coupon on the inter net.  I buy 2 of their moisturers and it ends up costing a $100.00 without their coupon.  I have celetic diease and it affects my skin.  If I get any gluten I feel like my face is on fire and theirs is the only stuff I can use that gives me any relief I would rather not spend a penny more on it then I have too!  But it is a must have.  The lady in the store came out and gave me a coupon.  I was stressing over it.  I hate to be that way but $20.00 is a lot of money to waste.

I noticed our little Walmart had throw pillow covers the other day. I didn't pay attention to the price because I always make my own, but I'd guess they are reasonable coming from them.

IKEA has great ones with zippers.  I just picked up plain cotton ones to stencil for 4.00 each.

Hobby Lobby has these and they are cheap. Bought a simple linen one there for less than $5 with a coupon and painted my own designs. They had many cute colors and patterns!

Have you tried Etsy? You can search by color and price range. You can find some between $10 and $15, plus shipping. Don't know how low you wanted to go, but that's pretty inexpensive, IMO. You can also find delicious pillows at far more expensive prices, but that's for another day. ;^)

I agree with @Cherie Lutz...Ikea has great pillow covers. Some start at $3. I'm going to use her idea and purchase some plain ones to stencil.

You can also use placemats and use that hemming tape instead of sewing. I saw a cousin make some really cute ones. I cut up a panel that matched my curtains and made pillow covers, a square table cover for one of those round tables with glass on it, also small squares for arm chair covers. They all matched and with a couple solid pillows it all came together. Here is a picture of the table cover and arm cover but pillows you can't see they are on loveseat.

I don't know if you have Fabricland in the US but they have tons of them.  Also, a great idea is thrift stores, look for ones with zippers and wash them.  Most are like brand new and bound to be some to suit your taste.

You can also use old t-shirts or sweaters that you pick up at yard sales and the Good Will (or straight from your closet).
