Mailbox Project Made by Husband

This is my new mailbox. i made it with an auto lowering flag. Opening the door drops the flag. The mailman loves it and I am proud of it.

the flag is on a pivoting shaft that has a short arm with a string attached. the string is routed down to the door and attached. raising the flag moves it into position with the door closed. when the door is opened it pulls the shaft arm an moves the flag.
