Twin Guest Room

Helene Jones
by Helene Jones
I went to B&Q armed with a pillow case and bought some 'match pots' of emulsion in the same (or near as) colours and painted some canvas pictures!
I bought an extra duvet cover and used the material to cover a chair, make the pelmet + bunting and the curtain next to the wardrobe (which covers a series of little shelves)

Helene, yesI 'll buy an extra flat sheet to use for something when my daughter chooses a comforter for her dorm room-I always do. she's moving to college in Aug, and I know it will come in handy for something. Other projects I've done, taught to me by a much craftier friend, was to buy a plain cork bulletin board, covering it with a piece of the extra flat sheet I bought, and using a staplegun to make the fabric a permanent background on the corkboard. It coordinates nicely with the linens. I've also painted the frame of the bulletin board one of the colors in the comforter. I've also used a piece of the sheet to cover alampshade. I can't credit for this: My best friend is creative, and crafty-I'm not, but I love the rresults, and have a small budget, so I beg her to help me decorate!:)
