I think any type of wallpaper glue would also worth fine for fabrics or cloth
i have heard of laundry starch the liquid stuff being used to keep a light wt fabric on a wall.
could use Velcro. or fix a couple of brackets and hang via a pole over them. Or Nail or Screw it on or Paste it on
Get some simple yardsticks (you could buy lath strips) the width of drop cloth (or wall) and staple dropcloth to them. Then turn yardsticks one turn so the yardstick is covered by dropcloth. Then screw (or nail) sticks into wall studs along the ceiling. Stretch & Tighten cloth at corners and secure same way.
You could go t a diy store and get a long sturdy strip of trim, make a rod and pocket at the top end of the drop cloth. Run the trim through it and hang with your choice of hangers.
