Assuming it's a metal tubular frame, cut a pool noodle in half. Slide it on the frame and tape the ends and middle. The mattress should hide the noodle.
Get a couple blocks of wood or maybe bricks and place them behind the couch legs so one end is against the wall, the other end is against the legs. This will stop the couch from bumping the wall. Couches should be placed about 1 inch from any all.
Wrap bubble plastic (big bubbles type) around the frame parts that are hitting the wall. Cover the bubble wrap with a matching fabric, or if it’s a tan frame, use an Ace elastic bandage to spiral wrap the bubble plastic. Worked for me.
Stick carpet to the back of it .
I would install a chair rail at the level where the top of the frame hits the wall.
Are you on hardwood? I would get furniture grippers. They make for hardwood, laminte, tile, and move away from wall an inch or two.
