Douglas Hunt on Jul 04, 2011Concord grapes are prone to uneven ripening, and one of the reasons is high temperatures, which is why they are not a recommended variety in Georgia. (I am going to refrain from getting on my soapbox about big box stores selling things that are not appropriate for their locations.) But since you seem to have beaten the odds this year, do not pick your grapes early. Unlike some other fruit, once they are cut from the vine grapes do not continue to ripen. Good luck!Helpful Reply
