What could this old electric organ speaker become?

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Mar 21, 2014If that is an old Leslie speaker cabinet with the tube type of amplifier, Sell it. These speaker systems can be rebuilt with new tubes and speaker. They are worth a LOT of money to those in this industry. Not very many around. Worth much more as it was intended to use then to make something else out of it.Helpful Reply

Lex263207 on Mar 21, 2014I will check on that. The organ came out of the Catholic Church at Lookout Mountain Tennessee many many years ago. eBay, I guess, for buyers?Helpful Reply

GM on Mar 24, 2014Definitely! I frequent audio forums and these can bring good prices, especially if still in working condition and doubly so if it has a tube amp in it. If you don't want to mess with ebay, maybe these folks can help: http://vintagehammond.com/Helpful Reply

GM on Mar 25, 2014True! Note too that some just had one or more Jensen or similar 12"-15" high efficiency woofers that can fetch significant $$ among the vintage crowd, especially those in Asian countries, though don't know if they were in Leslie size cabs since I just bought the drivers. Bottom line, considering what it came out of and likely age, it's worth dealing with IME and if she just wants to get rid of it, I imagine one of the greater metro Atlanta locals will be happy to oblige, so at the least, a Craigslist posting seems in order.Helpful Reply

I made one that my dog uses as a bed so it frees up floor spaceHelpful Reply
