First question: why are you taking it down to the studs? If moving walls, add another $250.
You can do a small job for as low as $2,000 to as high as you want.

Depending on fixtures and the size, you are looking at about $5-$10k, unless you do most of the work yourself. We are getting ready to do the same, our main bath is HuGE, and when I said huge I mean its like 10x14. We plan to take some of the room and make a walkin closet, and the rest a stand up shower, stool and sink. We can do everything ourselves, except the main drain, and we've figured the cost to be right around $7k.
Depending on the cost of materials you use, $1,000-$2,000. Your tile is the biggest expense. It can range from a $1-$6 a tile or more. Don’t get a tile that has perfectly flat sharp edges, you will never get a smooth flat look. Buy ones with slightly beveled or chamfered edges. My son is a tiling contractor. Also don’t skim on the wall board either. Use green board instead of dry wall. It’s more moisture resistant.
around a tub or shower use cement board and a water proof membrane like Schluter. Sold in Lowe’s and Home Depot.
One cost factor that is often overlooked in the planning stages is the contingency for the unknown. With any job that involves ripping apart and retrofitting, there is usually additional expenses incurred with materials needed to repair the damage that comes from tearing out. Often the condition or true nature of what is behind or underneath is not known until it is revealed.
With a bathroom, it is likely that it will be necessary to reinforce surfaces before the new installs, and make needed upgrades to construction, electrical and plumbing that meet present day building and safety codes. All those "small" tubes of adhesive, special drill bits, and replacement parts can quickly add up so be sure to include this category in the budget.
Cost will depend on the fixtures you choose (some vanities cost over $1000 plus the sink or sinks and that does not include the faucets or hardware) Tile can be very expensive.. like for marble or reasonable.. if you choose a ceramic tile that looks like marble... And if you plan on re-configuring the space (which would involve moving the plumbing).. most of the DIY shows that flip houses estimate $3000 to $10,000 depending on all the above.
I would go to HomeAdvisor.com or AngiesList.com and get information on a reputable contractor. Get some estimates, for exactly what you WANT done ... and for what you NEED done... then decide how much you can tackle yourself... or want to tackle yourself. A reputable contractor will give you good advise.
In costing out a project such as this one, be sure to budget also for waste removal, either in renting a disposal container, or in cost pr weight load dumping it yourself at the local landfill.
