Not sure what your style is, but let me suggest that before you start, cover the top surface with newspaper or wax paper. It gets pretty dusty (and sometimes greasy) up there! It's a great spot to display a collection - I have my Pig Collection on mine. I've also seen beautiful plates and bowls displayed. It's really up to you!
Well, a lot of people don't like to put things up there due to the collection of grease and dust, but I have a small collection of roosters that I clean often. You could also put silk plant, anything that you like and that coordinates with you kitchen style and colors. After all you are the one seeing it every day.
for storage or decore? houses 1 & 2 had space above the cabinets....I used it to show of my cut glass bottle collection. If you collect a set of items...one friend has 20 cookie jars...and they can be easily cleaned...display them from above.
Hi Judy. You can put plants, decorative baskets, or even fairy lights in small vases.
I just put some pretty large blue vases and bowls above mine, for a change, and some lanterns with globes from my grandmother. Be bold! 😇
