Spring Decorating Ideas

Hi Friends, how are you? Happy first day of Spring!! Our weather continues to be amazing and is in the 80′s. So spring has sprung for some folks, but I need to get going still. I need to take down my St. Patrick’s Day décor and bring out Spring and Easter. If you haven’t done it either then we’re in the same boat. I have found a few things while shopping and I thought I would share them with you in the spirit of Spring and Easter.
I found this pretty doormat at Ross for $6.99. I love it and if you know me you know I love pink roses so it was put in the cart immediately. I don’t go to Ross all the time but I think it is a great place to pop in for home accessories and their prices are fabulous.
When I got a pedicure the other day I went with pretty spring pink on my toes too. I’m loving our flip flop weather and not sure how long it will last but I’ll enjoy it while I can. While I was thrifting last week I was so excited to find this sweet Easter Egg themed Wreath. How cute is that and it was only $3.95. I want to add something to it, some ribbon or burlap or something else to make it mine of course. I also found this guy another day while shopping. He reminds me of one of those Beatrix Potter Bunny Rabbits. He was only $2.95 and I originally had plans to cover him or decoupage because he has a few nicks but he’s pretty darn cute so we’ll see where he ends up. I was so excited when I found these cute pink polka dotted plates about a week ago too. The stack of 8 were bundled together for $3.95. I love LoVe LOVE them!! I love pink so with Easter and spring I can do some pretty tablescapes with these fun plates on top of my pink roses plates and I’ll have to make some cute napkins to go with too. I love fresh flowers and always felt like I can’t have or afford fresh flowers in my home every week. I love to buy roses when I am having a party or when I have a special blog post (then I can justify it ….lol) and of course I love LOVE love them when my husband surprises me. I have been shopping and looking and just by keeping my eyes open there are pretty flowers out there for less. Like the daffodils I found last week at Vons for $1.99 a bunch and they are still so pretty on my table. The new add just came and they are offering them again this week so I’m gonna go get some more. So my goal is to continue to have fresh flowers whenever I can. They make me happy. You can’t go into a store without seeing a display of Peeps right now. I bought these fun colors and want to do something fun and creative with them. So stay tuned for a Peeps Project…lol. I found these darling Pom Pom’s at the Dollar Tree the other day and I have no idea what I’m gonna do with them but I see a pillow or a runner or something cute with those little poms. They’d make cute bunny tails too.
If you haven’t been out to a thrift store lately I recommend it and Ross and the Dollar Tree are also great resources for fun things. Sometimes all we need is one or two new things for some inspiration, right?? Let me know what you are up to in your home. Honestly I love to hear your comments, it keeps me going..lol. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Lisa
