Kuma bamboo (running type bamboo), invasive..... says to cut the runners, and apply Bonide Kleen-Up at a 2% rate and then reapply in 14 days, as broad leaf herbicides like Scotts Weed N Feed doesn't work, because bamboo is a grass. It may kill your grass too, because this is a weed and grass herbicide.
I've had good luck by simply over seeding with grass seed. Grass afterall is only a weed itself and if given enough vitamins will usually take over and kill whatever is in its way.
If possible you might dig up the larger pieces of the weed making sure you get the root.
Spray it with vinegar.
I worried with weeds for years and years...finally called TruGreen. It is their consistent service that works! By the time you count up the money spent on fixes, you can get it done!
You could try digging it up. If you don't get all the root, it will come back.
I had great success with vinegar. May have to apply several times but will eventually kill down to the root. It is also much cheaper.
People swear by using boiling water to kill them. Here’s a link that gives you more options, too. All cheap and pretty much home made.

Mow new bamboo to the ground as it begins to grow. Young bamboo is succulent, and will mow down easily. Repeated mowing will eventually kill bamboo crowns.
Cut down older, woodier bamboo with an axe.
Paint the tops of cut bamboo stumps with a systemic herbicide containing glysophate. The vascular system of the bamboo plant will pull the herbicide down to the roots to weaken or kill it. You may need to treat bamboo repeatedly to kill the crowns of the plants.
Dig out bamboo crowns from the ground with a shovel, mattock or grubbing hoe. If you choose to dig the plants out, you must dig up all of the roots. Unless you remove the complete bamboo crown, the plant will continue to grow.

I tried everything all out there . I came to a conclusion to dig it all out with a shovel and dig them all out. Boy did it all work out for me. No more wasting money on on all stuff to spray them all out !
Thank you. I tried to dig it up but is hard.
Hi, BCPERFECT. My Gardener say's to be careful useing round up, as you could allso kill plant to, as the wind could blow the round up on to nearby plants. I have used lawn and weed feed before. You buy it in a plastic container that fits onto the garden hose, then water the lawn as usual. Not sure if it will kill bamboo weed or not, but your local garden center, nursery, or hard wear store nursery center will be able to advise. If in doubt ask a professional, as it saves expence/money and time in the long run. Good luck eradicating the weed. Kay Adelaide Australia
