make sure all the tacks/staples are gone and then give it a light sanding or scraping, then wash again.
Hang it over the railing, and beat it, with a broom, if that fails, sweep it, and then hang it. With the winds, picking up this may help also. Best wishes, or as a resort, you may have to hose it, with dish soap, then wash it off, and hang it to dry. Just consider the time it was laid down, and all the traffic it had on it. Best wishes, J.
OK, I understand this now, I would use a wish broom, and sweep it into a dust pan, and go down step by step, and empty this. You may have to do it several times, to get all of it. Then you can use a damp cloth, and wipe it, AND this should help you alot. It maybe a good idea, to use the rubber, step by step guides to use on the steps, for careful gripping as folks go up and down the steps. This is up to you. Enjoy!! J.
You too, Hillela, this is a real task, but when it is done, you will be so pleased of a job well done. Pleased to help you. Let us know how it turned out, and best wishes, always. J.
