How about the dishwasher.
How to clean your natural sea sponge.. Do not use harsh chemical cleaners or washing machine or dishwasher!!!

if you have used them in the shower, they are probably full of soap and body wash.... use vinegar and water....soak a bit, rinse really well.... ocean sponges are an organic product... they will darken over time and can absorb colors like fabrics can... you may not be able to get them back to their original white.
