How about some bright red shades WITH crystal fringe trim (Joann's, by the yard)... you can find small ones that clip on the light bulb (you may have to change the bulbs if you have the candle shaped ones) and if you can't find red ones... paint some white ones red.
Swag with greenery or poinsettias, ornaments, battery lights... hang with angels...

When I decorated the whole house years ago, I tied faux apples to my Williamsburg brass chandelier with red holiday ribbon. Saw this application at a holiday open house in my area. Looked cute.
Since it is "mission style", then you probably live in the Southwest. I would go indigenous and use poinsettia blossoms, maybe with little lights woven in. Silk or real, you can find poinsettia in small and large, red or white, frosted or glittered! 😇
Two ways - first, string a bough of pine branches around the bulbs and add ribbons.. or hang Christmas bulbs from ribbons from the arms at different lengths.
