Becky on Mar 22, 2014I did! My tiles are 4x4. I used zinder primer(brown label primer/binder). It is oil based. I then used my kitchen cabinet to paint them. It is also oil based. I was very careful with it for the first month but now, after 5 months, I scrub it daily. It has cured to a hard finish. It was easy and looks so much better than the yucky blue it was before! Good luck!Helpful Reply

Cathy B on Jun 19, 2015If you use an oil based primer after cleaning with a non-residue cleaner like Spic n Span, then you can use any paint. I used a high gloss latex. It took very little paint since it doesn't sink in, was very washable and held up for at least 14 years. Did it once and never had to do it again.Helpful Reply
