Don`t do it !! Shiplap wood even if treated will hold moisture any wood does . You will find the moisture will turn into fungus on the wood, more than likely behind where you can see ,this in turn can lead to some very dangerous spores developing some of which can kill. Any room that is enclosed in wood has to be very well ventelated (think cold or damned Dry and warm) Any room that has wood looks nice but moisture is a no no in any area that it`s used.

Bob, I completely agree. My breeze way has solid pine paneling. It’s a pia. All buildings settle a bit. The space is some what heated, but still 10 degreecolder than the house.
DFM Rip it all out if your allowed to do so . ,then replace with non flammable insulating boarding or sheet ,on top of that put I think you call it sheetrock ,(we call it plasterboard ) then paint on top . Measure temp before and after ,its a hell of a differance.
Also, shiplap has Lots of "finger" joints... perfect location for mildew!
