honestly it's not difficult to do, it's just time consuming....there a a couple of paint products that you can use that will minimize prep work (chalk paint, fusion paint) if your cupboards are in good shape, but count on it taking a good couple of weeks. you may want to consider only doing half the kitchen at a time to reduce the amount of uproar
I painted mine several months ago and I have to be honest, it was a big job that you have to be totally committed to because once you start there's no turning back, but the outcome is so worth it. I wanted this to last so I took all the necessary steps to do it right. Make sure you clean your cabinets really well, I used TSP which is so easy and works great, just make sure you rinse it off good so the paint will adhere to your cabinets. I also removed all the doors and hardware. It takes a lot of time but makes the finished job so much neater. It took me two coats of Sherwin Wiliams interior paint. I also caulked any cracks are gaps before I started painting. Good luck!
We did it..does take some time but well worth it.
