What is the best cleaning solution for cleaning windows
We live in large two story house on a lake in Ala. Window cleaning is a big problem. Can you help?
I've always found that vinegar and water is hard to beat for most basic cleaning in the bathroom. You can always splash some bleach in too but be careful with that stuff. If you're dealing with an incredibly dirty super neglected shower I found the only way to get all of the soap scum off (after trying every awful chemical I could buy) was a razor blade and careful elbow grease.
The doors or the shower itself? What is the shower material
I mix vinegar and Dawn dishwashing liquid together....1/2 and 1/2. Then, spray it on the shower, let it sit for a minute or two to dissolve soap scum, wipe or scrub as needed, then rinse well.
A surprising thing that works well is Old English furniture oil. Just don’t use it on the bottom of the shower, since it can be slippery. Use it on a soft cloth when the shower is dry. It eats through soap scum beautifully.
Comet a tuffy pad and some eldow grease. This works wonders on our old fiderglass tube/shower insert.
To comment on Brenda Brandt Deasons suggestion. Do not use Old English! It has a stain added to the oil. It could possibly stain your shower an unwanted color. The best thing to use is called "The Works" and you can find it at Dollar Tree. You wet your shower down, spray on The Works, wait awhile and then rinse. This stuff is the best. I won't use anything else for my shower, tub, sink and toilet. It is the greatest stuff since sliced bread!
