Can i use latex paint right over chalk paint?

I’d prefer to stain over the chalk paint, but that probably requires stripping. So just need to know how to prep the table before Ipaint over the chalk paint.

Hi there, latex will go over chalk paint no problem but I would sand it down first and make sure you give your paint something not smooth to adhere too. A good primer would be a good idea too!
