Sprinkle dry baking soda over the stain and work it into the fibers. Mix one-quarter cup peroxide with a teaspoon of dish detergent. Use only three-percent hydrogen peroxide. Pour or spray this over the baking soda and work into the carpet with a toothbrush.

Easy Way To Remove Pet Stains
Send it out for professional rug cleaning. Check your phonebook for Rug cleaners. They take your rug and clean it in a big vat, then block it to dry properly.
Without knowing what fiber you have in your rug, you will want to run a test on whatever you decide to do.
If you are cleaning in place the first thing you want to do is to make sure the floor underneath does not get damaged by placing something underneath to protect your floor...a large plastic garbage bag will work.
AND make sure that any residue in what you use is not harmful to your floor.
Go by your local pet store and they will recommend something to clean out the cat urine. They can also recommend products to deter this from happening...but they stink!!!
As for the poop, if it has dried into the fibers, that will just be a matter of softening it and scrubbing it out. I would use a cleaner to disinfect. (Wear gloves!)
Almost all rugs can be taken outside and cleaned with lots of water. I have expensive wool rugs and I wash them just like I would wash any delicate item...cold water and no bleach. A rug cleaning company will can be very expensive.
I run a lot of water through the entire rug; scrub with Dawn diswashing liquid using a plastic bristle long handle broom and rinse good; then disinfect with vinegar and sweep in baking soda to eliminate odors. I do all of this in steps and then rinse thoroughly.
Of course this has to be done when the weather is warm. I have a slanted, concrete driveway and I lay mine out, wet them down with the hose, running lots of water through the fibers. If you don't have a slanted driveway you can lay the rug out across a couple of saw horses.
Really suggest you use professional carpet cleaning company. They'll use correct products for the particular problem. Just be sure to seek recommendations and phone interview before hiring.
This is where any outdoor laundry line comes in handy. Hang the rug over the line, spray with water to remove any poop and then treat with a pet zyme product. Let it dry in the sun but don't leave it in the sun so long that is gets bleached out.
