How do you remove a tomato broth that is burnt on a glass top stove?
I spilled this broth on a hot burner, and need to clean it without scratching the surface. Ideas, other than baking soda?
What type of stove top do you have? If it is the glasstop you can clean it with a runny paste made of baking soda and water, then scrap the buildup off with a razor blade, or Bar Keeper's Friend. They also make kits for glass tops that are about $8 and include a small bottle of cleaner and the scouring and scraper. If its a regular enamel coated, Bar Keeper's Friend will work

One of the best ways to clean a really bad stove is to use a Turbo hurrican scrubber as advertised on tv. We bought ours online, but they are for sale in Walmart now and probably other stores. The scrubbers are also great for grout, shower walls, and car tires. My husband loves that scrubber!
Hi Raffaela. I use magic erasers for my stove top. They remove all of the grease and burnt on stuff.
On a regular stove top, not glass. Use plain steel cleaning pads. It has to be 0000. It polishes not scratches.
I use 1/2c ACV + 1/2c water + 1/4c rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle. Spray on gunk & let it sit 'til the gunk softens. Then scrape it off with an old credit card. I understand you shouldn't use ACV on stone countertops, but I've used this simple (& cheap) solution on every surface in my kitchen.
I use a paste of baking soda and water on my stove top an let it sit until nearly dry. Then I spray it down with Apple cider vinegar. I do have a gas stove and it works wonders.
Foaming bathroom cleaner. I use it all the time.
Sudsy ammonia.
