I need ideas for a guest room headboard.

We just completed a rejuvenation project in our guest bedroom and now have a blank wall behind the bed where a large painting used to hang. We need an inexpensive headboard and haven’t come up with any good ideas. It’s a queen bed and it takes up pretty much all of the wall space because it sits next to the door. Thanks!

Buy an old shutter at a thrift store, cut it to size, sand, paint and, voila!, you have some decor with texture and style.

Headboards are not a requirement for a bed, but if you really want one, paint one on the wall. You can get as realistic or as funky as you want.

You could add shelves over the bed to display pictures or small items.

Hello. You can use the wood from pallets to make a head board. I have also seen old doors being used.

Scrape wood from palettes. Single layer harring bone . Slanted alike L or R..screw into studs. Don't go down the floor finish as you like sanding, paint stain a head board is above mattress and pillow. A light weight lamp on wall or headboard, saves space
