Hello. You can use TSP. It is a product for cleaning walls and ceilings.

Hi there, it depends on what kind of ceiling you're dealing with. I hate to say "paint it" but unless you can SCRUB it down, it will be very hard to deal with smoke discoloration.

I wash it with Dollar Tree Awesome Orange, and stubborn spots the Awesome Degreaser and use a big car sponge, wear kitchen rubber gloves and googles if needed, The round plastic scrubbies work good too. I put the wash basin on top of the frig or counter.

hi, i don't know where you are, but in Australia we have a product called 'Sugar Soap" it is a liquid which you can dilute in water in a bucket. your smoke stains should wash off with a soft cloth and a little rubbing. good luck with this

ps, i have found it easiest if you have one person up the ladder and the other rinsing out the cloth in the bucket, while you use another one. makes a faster job. you will most likely need to change the mix in the bucket several times.

Old-fashioned Spic and Span worked for me when my ex-husband started a fire in the LR right after I had painted it. Room looked like a campsite there was so much smoke a/c he forgot to open the flue. He had a Master Degree but no common sense.

Forgot to tell you that Spic and Span can be found by going into Google. Spice and Span used to clean almost anything imaginable.
