CUT your apples up into extra-thin slices. Boil them for about 10-12 minutes on the stove. Set aside. In a bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon & a pinch of salt. Drain apples & save back 2 Tbsps. of apple liquid. In a large bowl, transfer your apples to it. Pour sugar mixture over the apples & stir until well coated. Place an already-made pie crust in the bottom of a pie plate. Fill with apple mixture & even out. Place a 2nd crust over the top & pinch the sides together. Using a sharp knife, make some slits in the top crust (you can use a pattern or just random slits). Bake at 325*F until the crust is golden brown. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream on top of each slice & it's good cold left-overs too (if there's any rofl). OPTION: Cut 3 inch circles out of the refrigerated pie crusts & using a cupcake tin, place 1 circle into each slot. Fill with pie filling. Cover with another circle & cut vent holes in the top of each one. Bake until golden. Hope this helps. :)
a lot of the flavor depends on the type of apple or apples used.
