Re-pot them in the next size container with drainage holes and fresh soil, spray the leaves with horticultural oil, bring indoors and place in a sunny location, water when dry to the touch
oh ya some are 5 yrs old. I have grow lights in my basement, it’s a few degrees above 60, I hts 2 8 ft tables filled with various plants...most of the geranium
varieties. You need to learn how to properly prune them back so they won’t get leggy and take a few cuttings for friends.
Yes, I bring it inside in my sun room.
I guess it depends on your climate, but on central california coast we kept them outside on little shelves on our fence and our Japanese gardner kept them like bonsai from year to year.
Yes. They did well in lots in a sunny room.
yes, my geranium is about 5 yrs old, my mom always kept hers. I put it outside in summer, and bring it in in fall. It is doing great! See photo of my geranium this past year.
Thanks..I'll lug 'em in and put them in a south window and hope for the best!
It's a Beauty..!!
Very easy. Bring in in a pot, water rarely ( every week or two ), locate near window. They will probably bloom indoors for you too. I always forget mine for a couple of weeks or so, but they stay alive, bloom and prosper the next year. This year I planted some that I had forgotten to plant last year. They overwintered on top of my dryer in the laundry room. To my surprise, they bloomed constantly! Strange thing is that over the summer last year (while unplanted) I mistreated them by forgetting to water them except every 10 days or so. They were very hardy, considering I only paid .75 for 6 at end of June 2016. This year they got so many compliments it was amazing.
