Anyone in north metro Atlanta who would like these plants?

The last two plants shown are at least 30 yrs old and live on my deck in the summer but in winter they don't get the sun and love they need inside my small house. I've decided to try to find them a home with more sun and more loving care. Any interest?

You should keep them. After 30 years they seem to be liking what you're doing.

    Maybe repot in larger containers

All you have to do is get a light fixture with a daylight bulb or a grow light.

consider offering to a scout troop.. Then could pot and sell them as a holiday fair item. A church would probably find them a home .. Also consider a nursing home. what a delight to receive. in the holiday spirit.

The bottom ones are split leaf philodendron. They can be planted in the yard. They get quite large in Louisiana.

Not split leaf. Fiddle leaf. Philodendrens do fine in low light. Look how they thrive in their natural element in the tropics...

Oh, but look at them, wanting a new home! What sad eyes! My husband always laughs at me because I don't find anything that's close to home - everything seems to be a 2 hour drive (it doesn't help that we live in a rural area)! Plus it has to be big and heavy!

  • The 1st is an Arowhead (Syngonium podophyllum) , 2nd and 3rd are Fiddle-leaf Philodendron (Philodendron bipinnatifidum). Wish I was closer, I'd be there in a flash too! :)

The leaves on mine aren't like this. Mine are split leaf philodendron.

Would love them, should you (still) decide to give them away! I live near Buford, GA. Is that close to you?

  • Louise Louise on Nov 19, 2017

Yes, Buford isn't too far. I'm down 85 before you reach 285. You'd need a van or large SUV.

How nice of you to offer these instead of trashing them. I hope you get a taker soon. As soon as I saw the arrowhead, I thought of Ga. I’m from Cartersville, (up 75), although I lived in Texas now. Ah, home! 😇

Hi Louise, if those darling plants have survived for 30 years you must be doing something right. They look perfectly happy where they are. Good luck.

  • Louise Louise on Nov 20, 2017

Now I'm beginning to feel bad about wanting to give them away. I'll have to rethink this.

  • Louise Louise on Dec 31, 2017

I solved the problem with the arrow leaf plant by encasing it in chicken wire. Not pretty, but functional.
