https://www.wikihow.com/Make-Your-Windows-Look-Like-Stained-Glass
Buy a small piece of glass from the hardware store to practice. You can use acrylic paints. Follow your favorite design; you can scrub it off and start over and over until you get it the way you like. Then tackle the window.
When I was a kid my mother would allow us to use watercolors and paint the side windows to the front door to lok like stained glass. It was great fun and easy to wash off after. The holidays. You can also try acrylic craft paints which can come off with soap and water and scraping, but the watercolors can look more translucent.
