Transform A Brick Fireplace With A White Wash {Before & After}
Weak solution of white Emulsion and water........
Our fireplace was rock instead of brick, but the procedure is the same. Use regular water-based white paint...thin it out to a liquid consistency like milk. Brush it onto the brick, then use a large cloth or sponge to lightly wipe off a little to get a white washed look. Let dry. You can whitewash the grout lines as well to make them match.
1 part paint, 3 parts water. Roll or brush on, wipe off with towel or rag. Reapply if needed until you get the look you want... 2-3 coats of clear sealer to make it easy to clean.
Weak emulsion paint with water.
add water to the paint..
