You can buy self-adhesive furniture glides to fit the bottom of the chair legs. Make sure to get the carpet ones, not the hard surface ones.
Try spraying with furniture polish.
furniture sliders under each leg. one finger will push it around..
Hard surface gliders are a perfect way. Some carpets will give you a Velcro affect.
Shoshana has the right idea. I've used them for years. They are relatively inexpensive and found at many stores.
