looks like it may have damaged the surface of the tile -- if this is a granite or stone tile you may need to get it professionally sanded and resurfaced -- if it's a laminate or vinyl you may need to replace ... sorry!

Itā€™s hard to know for sure what you should do without being there but it looks like whatever spilled etched the finish on the floor.

I would try cleaning the one tile that has the least stain on it and rinsing well. Then apply marble polish (if itā€™s marble), stone sealer (if it is stone), or wax (if it is vinyl) to the stain. By doing the one tile with the smallest area of damage, you will be able to see if it works before applying to the big stain. That way, if it makes the stain spot even more permanent itā€™s only a lititle spot.

    I hope that helps

Kim - that sounds like a very smart way to attack this problem.

floor looks like travertine or stone. If its is etched, only a polisher (pro) can fix it. If it is not, mix 1 part dish soap, 1 part vinegar, test on a small area ..let sit 10 minutes and rinse...if stain is gone you are good to go. If not, it probably is etched in and will require a pro to clean / polish it back up to a shine
