I would like to paint or coat the entire interior with something that is non-toxic but will prevent leaks.
I used my toilet plunger. Picked up the gunk that came out with toilet paper, cleaned tub. Freshen drain with baking soda and hot water.
Im not certain about your residence, but at our home the tub became easily clogged by our daughters thick long curly hair. We had to manually fish it out with something.....a hook made from a coat hanger or dollar tree plastic barbed tool. That solved the problem-the water drained effectively.
Preventively-Now they do sell a hair collector device to stop this from happening.
