I would hate to see you paint marble. It would never be the same. If you polish the marble with some wax, you can repaint any metail parts with something metalic. 😇
Since Marble is so "IN" right now, I would look to updating or adding a surround to make changes. Go with your style...Industrial? Sleek modern in black? Painted or wood for contemporary? Bold with a burgundy surround with marble?
