How to get rid of grass in a flower bed without killing the plants
Hi I would like to know how to kill grass in flower beds without harming the plants. The plants are perennial and the grass is pasture.
smother it out with newspaper, cardboard,Heavy landscape fabric and mulch or dig it up
Persistent pulling and digging. Some grass spreads from underground roots so you have to get it all. If it isn't too bad try spraying each clump with a vinegar and salt mixture.
Also edging a bed then mulching prevents grass from spreading.
Spray the grass only with roundup and pretreat with preen right before it rains to prevent grass returning.
Dig it out by hand or smother it then dig out.
