Any Ideas for this corner with the wood stove pipe?
I am unclear as to what to do with this part of my house, "The Breakfast Nook".
Sounds like the flashing next to that vent must need resealing.
You are getting condensation from the fan when the humidity inside the pipe creates a frost and then melts. If you can, insulating the pipe should help.
It could be either of the above. When mine was doing the same thing it was flashing on the roof not sealed properly. 16 years later My central AC/heating vents appeared to be leaking. Turned out another vent was leaking from a different flashing seal, and water was running down a beam in the attic and coming down the side of the vent.
Could be condensation from the super cold air outside... or the flashing around your vent pipe has gone deteriorated and needs to be replaced or re-sealed.... the roof in that area could be compromised too.
