The top bathroom has what appears to be a lot of beige/tan color in it. Definitely, add some white color to help reflect color instead of absorbing color. Maybe even painting your door and trim white. Find a nice accent color and that will help brighten up the room. The bottom looks nice, I think I see a window reflecting in the mirror. Be careful about putting up heavy curtains or window covering. The more light, the bigger it will look.
Paint a color that is more pleasing with this tile...maybe a light peach and then use white lighting!
Keep it as "white" as possible. I redid my very small bathroom and left the window bare which brings in more light. Kept the walls and floor all white and decorated with deep purple wall prints and towels. It's amazing how much larger the room looks. I would update the light figure above the sink and mirror (something framed) if possible for a more modern look.
Smaller mirror. One of the newer sinks that are closer to the wall. A neural wall color . Then pick a bright color that pops, as an accent color.
