    yes..lots of new paints now..may need to sand

    Yes you can! Lightly sand to remove any shine. Prime with a good stain blocking primer, paint with your color, seal with at least three coats of water based poly. Use a foam roller and foam brush for a smooth finish.

    Yes you can by using a good multi purpose primer like Zinsser's 1-2-3 to provide a key, then you paint over it. This primer allows you to paint vinyls, formica, metal, plastics etc.

    Chalk paint can be painted easily on faux wood (or plastic, metal—even fabric without prep work other than a quick clean. Then you decide between waxing or polycrylic finish.
