My experience with them is that they are fickle. I tried to start them from seed for two years without success. Then one spring one came up in a planter. It went to seed and for a few years they were everywhere. Then they just slowly disappeared, and I never bothered with them again. They were delightful while the were with me. Maybe I should try again. The seed is to be nicked with a sharp knife before planting.
