Hello Caroline— The cleaning combination is baking soda and white vinegar. However, on laminate floors or hardwood, it would be best just to sprinkle the baking soda on the offensive area and scrub it in. Allow to sit there overnight and then vacuum up the baking soda. Repeat if necessary.
There is a product called Krud Kutter that works like magic on pretty much everything. I buy mine at WalMart.
Baking SODA and vinegar should help.
Slots of people swear by baking soda because per is an enzyme, I use an enzyme to clean it up, get rid of odor. I got pet stores sell something like Natures Miracle, which is an enzyme treatment and has a pleasant smel.
I have two dogs. I clean all of my laminate floors with straight rubbing alcohol. It cleans well and dissipates immediately so moisture won't harm floors.

Nature's Miracle. Hands down the best solution out there. You can find it in most pet stores or order it on Amazon. Any way you get it, you will love it! It 'removes' the odor completely so animals are not drawn back to that location.
