I know that opinions vary, but what's your opinion?!I have great luck w Rosemary plants. Green all year long.
Bamboo is really aggressive. You can try cutting it down to a apply a strong weed killer. Good luck!
Bamboo is considered aggressive to the point of being invasive. One tip I've read is to use salt on invasive plants, BUT if you do that, even if it works, nothing will grow there for a long time, according to what I've read. If you want to use chemicals, wikihow.com has an article about how to do it. Wishing you the best of luck.

unfortunately you will have to dig it out... any roots that are left will sprout again... you should probably even throw out the soil... and replace it with new.
No easy answer with that stuff. It is going to take some manual labor to literally pull it all (roots too).
Cut it close to ground, and stamp it down. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat until it finally dies out. This is what we were told by a landscaper. Round up did not even touch it.
